First time visiting, had a brilliant time! The guy running the place (AJ) was welcoming and funny, gave us the safety brief for the batting cages and had us in stitches! The cages are really easy to use, and I suggest have at least 60 mins in their because you just about get the swing of it (pun intended) after 30 mins the have another 30 to actually try and be any good at it lol! Beer and cocktail selection was good, we didn’t try any food as we had other plans made for lunch but will certainly try next time we go. Overall a fun place and a cool different experience. Personally I think it beats things like axe throwing as you can drink beer while you do it and it just makes it all more laid back and fun. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back!!

Amazing experience! We decided very last minute to book base bar on Saturday night. It was one of the best experiences that I've ever done! AJ was so welcoming and friendly and had us all feeling relaxed from the beginning. He explained how it all worked and this helped because it was all new to us. We got the hang of it quickly and I loved it! The drinks were surprisingly really cheap for a place in Manchester and we ended up spending hours after our batting time had finished on the sofas and having a great time. I would definitely recommend this to other people and I can't wait to visit again soon!

Great Fun! Booked base as a group for something different to do one Saturday night. AJ, Robyn, and the team are great, very friendly, and welcoming; nothing is too much hassle. Will be back soon; definitely recommend.

Have been to Base a few times over the last month or so, really nice atmosphere. AJ is welcoming. Whilst not a specific or typical LGBTQ venue, it is LGBTQ friendly and welcoming to all. As someone relatively new to Manchester, it has become a “go to” spot for me

Great fun, hard to pick up if you've never played baseball before but entertaining nonetheless. Drinks were moderately expensive but nothing unexpected. We had an hour and that felt like enough time for 4 of us to all have enough goes. Great for bday activity or date :)

Base Bar is a hidden gem in the city! The rustic, retro vibe gives it a unique charm. The bar offers a good selection of draught beers and drinks. The batting cages are fun offering a laid-back, enjoyable experience. It’s a great spot for groups or a casual outing with friends. The friendly staff make you feel right at home. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend giving it a visit!

This place is well worth a visit and we will definitely be visiting again. It’s fantastic, the batting is loads of fun, the drinks are awesome and the music is superb. AJ is great at explaining how to bat, makes a great cocktail and is very welcoming.

Great little place ,alot of fun and something to fill an hour or more. Took my 9 year old son and he loved it. We went on a Sunday afternoon when it was quieter , The staff(AJ) was really friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced bar , and they have a seating area, they do food as well but we didn't have any apart from the sweets which we wolfed down by the kid, who gave them 5 stars! Definitely will return in future.
